Sure, there may be question marks surrounding Kevin Kolb’s ability to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.
However, there weren’t any in Philadelphia, and ESPN’s Mark Schlereth says that’s a good reason to have faith in the Cardinals’ new signal caller.
“[The Eagles] were willing to go into a season, give Kevin Kolb a decent size contract…and trade Donovan McNabb within the division,” he told Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf Wednesday. “So that’s the kind of faith they had in Kevin Kolb.
“They didn’t know that Michael Vick was going to turn it around and be Superman last year.”
And, Schlereth said, in just seven starts Kolb has already proven that he is the second-best quarterback in the NFC West, at worst.
