Sep 3, 2016, 12:09 PM

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced Saturday that they have called up utility player Kyle Jensen from Triple-A Reno.

In 134 games for the Aces this season, Jensen, 28, hit .289, 30 home runs and drove in 120 runs. He had 34 doubles and was a member of the All-Pacific Coast League team and runner-up for PCL MVP honors.

Jensen was selected in the 12th round of the 2009 draft by the then Florida Marlins and will be making his major league debut after playing in 966 minor league games. In his minor league career that included stops with the Marlins, Los Angeles Dodgers and Diamondbacks organizations, he hit .266 while collecting 200 doubles, 178 home runs and driving in 631 runs. The Diamondbacks signed Jensen to a minor league contract in November.
