A.J. Pollock would probably just like the 2016 season to be over.
The Arizona Diamondbacks center fielder exited Friday’s game against the San Francisco Giants in the first inning, in what was just his 12th game of the entire year.
The D-backs said Pollock left the game with a left groin injury, which he looked to suffer when rounding first base after his flyout to end the frame.
Pollock could be seen limping, and was replaced in the field by Mitch Haniger to begin the top of the second.
This is just another discouraging moment for the 2015 All-Star, as he missed nearly the first five months of the season with a broken elbow he suffered in spring training days before Opening Day.
Pollock is hitting .250 with two home runs and four RBI this season.
