New Cardinals step up in different camp

Normally NFL players would be roughly a week into training camp, possibly already getting tired of monotonous practices.
This year is different, though, as players who are with new teams have not been allowed to practice. While that is not a good thing, especially for a team with new players who figure to play key roles, Cardinals offensive coordinator Mike Miller says the guys have stepped up, even if they have yet to step onto the field.
“You can feel the frustration with those players, but to their credit they’ve kept their head in it and they’re staying into it mentally,” he told Sports 620 KTAR’s Doug and Wolf Thursday. “There’s been a whole different focus to this camp, and I think there had to be.
“The guys have accepted that challenge; they’re working hard in the meeting rooms, working hard together away from us.”
