Pitchfork Preview: Arizona State readies for stumbling USC

Sep 29, 2016, 11:55 AM | Updated: 12:09 pm

Arizona State travels to California for a Saturday night matchup against the USC Trojans at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

The Sun Devils go into the game with a 4-0 record after defeating the Cal Golden Bears 51-41 last week. ASU trailed by 14 at the half and outscored the Bears 41-17 in the second half.

The Trojans, 1-3, are coming off a disappointing 31-27 loss to Utah due to a last-minute touchdown by the Utes. USC enters Saturday’s game looking to avoid its first 0-3 start in conference play since 2001.

The last time the Sun Devils were at The Coliseum, they won 38-34 thanks to the infamous Jael Mary. A win on Saturday would be the Devils’ second straight at USC for the first time since 1991.

Kickoff is slated for 5:30 p.m. and the game can be heard on ESPN Phoenix 620 AM.
