Dockett already impressed with Cardinals new quarterback

PHOENIX – Training camp for the Arizona Cardinals has only been going for a couple of days, but defensive tackle Darnell Dockett is already liking what he sees from new quarterback Kevin Kolb.
“He’s good. It’s like night and day from last year,” said Dockett after practice on Friday.
The Cardinals defensive tackle believes Kolb possesses qualities that none of last season’s quarterbacks had.
“He’s a leader who can go out there and get the job done. You want a true leader who can get the ball and lead the offense down the field no matter what pressure he’s facing.”
“That’s what we’ve seen in him so far,” said Dockett.
The Cardinals were almost equally awful on defense last season, so Dockett knows the defensive unit can’t worry about the offense too much.
“I got the mindset that no matter who’s at quarterback we still got a job to do.”
“Our biggest thing is to focus on what we’re doing on defense and not worry about who our quarterback is and what they’re doing,” said Dockett.
While Dockett’s right that the defense has to step up and play better than last season, its got to help having confidence the offense will pull its weight by having a quarterback to lead the team.
