The Pulse: John Brown impressed the most in Cardinals preseason opener

Aug 12, 2014, 5:03 PM | Updated: 5:03 pm

The Arizona Cardinals’ 32-0 demolition of the Houston Texans Saturday featured many impressive performances.

Starting quarterback Carson Palmer completed 5-of-5 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown, while rookie QB Logan Thomas was 11-of-12 for 113 yards and a score.

Rookie receivers John Brown and Walter Powell each had big nights, with Brown catching five passes for 87 yards and Powell three for 74.

Then there was cornerback Antonio Cromartie, who collected an interception.

Which performance was the most impressive? That was our Sanderson Ford Poll Question Monday, and with 1,225 votes submitted, the answer is clear: Brown’s.

A total of 585 people chose the third-round pick’s game above all else, with Thomas’ effort finishing a close second.
