The Arizona Diamondbacks have filled the general manager and assistant general manager position, and have now turned full focus on addressing the manager position.
FanRag Sports’ Jon Heyman is reporting that the team has scheduled an interview with former big leaguer Alex Cora.
Worth noting that Cora has extensive ties to new D-backs’ general manager Mike Hazen. Hazen was named as the club’s new general manager and executive vice president back on Oct. 16.
Cora spent 14 years in the majors, playing for six organizations: Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals.
According to Heyman, Cora interviewed for several managerial positions last offseason, but did not secure a job.
