The animosity between the Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers spilled into the stands Sunday when a bloody brawl — (WARNING: Graphic scenes of violence) captured on video — broke out in the stands.
Near section 409 in the upper level of University of Phoenix Stadium more than a dozen fans exchanged punches that eventually led to people being pushed down stairs.
Security did its best in trying to break up the fracas.
Other spectators stepped in to help separate the brawlers. One security guard had blood covering the back of his shirt. The number of arrests is unknown.
Glendale police said one person was arrested and nearly everyone involved was ejected.
