Arizona Cardinals continue streak of record TV ratings

Nearly half of Phoenix’s TV viewers tuned in to watch the Arizona Cardinals defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
The local broadcast of the Cardinals’ Week 3 game drew a rating of 25.7 with an audience of 476,000 Valley households, according to the NFL and The Nielsen Company. The ratings are a 20 percent increase over the Week 3 matchup of 2013, the second-highest increase in the NFL.
Arizona’s game telecasts are the most-watched programs in the Phoenix market.
The Cardinals’ 2014 season has averaged a 25.2 rating with an audience of 467,000 local households. Those numbers represent a 12 percent increase from 2013, also the second-highest in the NFL.
Arizona’s next game is on Oct. 5 in Denver against the Broncos.
