Is Rich Rodriguez a top candidate for Arizona?

Oct 20, 2011, 12:03 AM | Updated: 1:16 am

The Arizona Wildcats are getting some national attention these days. Not for their play on the field, but because of the potential they offer a future head coach.

Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf asked ESPN analyst Dave Pasch what people are saying about the school’s vacancy.

“Arizona has come up in conversation because there is a head coaching search going on,” Dave Pasch said. “I think there is going to be some big names involved, I really do.”

Pasch said people around the country consider the Arizona job attractive.

“I’ve heard Rich Rodriguez’s name and I think that would be a great hire for Arizona,” Pasch said.

Pasch threw out the names of Air Force’s Troy Calhoun and Houston’s Kevin Sumlin as other potential candidates that are being thrown around in public conversation.
