Snapshot: Wildcats go down again

Chris Polk, I salute you.
Polk was a nightmare for the Wildcats defense on Saturday night. He chalked up four touchdowns on 34 carries and 143 yards. He was one short of the conference record for touchdowns in a single game. Arizona wide out Juron Criner again provided Foles with an outlet. The receiver nabbed 11 passes for 121 yards and two TDs. The only thing that shamed his night was a fumble late in the fourth quarter that led to a Washington TD that put the game out of reach. It's hard not to feel bad for Wildcats quarterback Nick Foles. The kid went 32-for-50 and 389 yards. He hit for two touchdowns, but three interceptions. If he were on a better team, Foles has what it takes to be a BCS-caliber quarterback. Kevin Price had a solid night for the Huskies. The QB hit only 17 of his 31 attempts, but posted 282 yards and two touchdowns. His three interceptions were a little rough, but he still got a W. When it comes down to it, the Arizona Wildcats just don't have what it takes to go face-to-face with other teams right now. They continue to find ways to make a game exciting, but manage to lose in the end. Mike Stoops is gone, but success is still elusive.
