Sure, you could read the box score and know who won, but we all know that won’t tell you everything that happened in a football game. So, we give you ‘Cat Tracks’, providing you with the analysis, quotes and notes from Arizona’s September 22 loss to Oregon. Final score: Oregon 49, Arizona 0.

The Good:

Despite the lop-sided final score, Arizona’s defense was able to hold an explosive Oregon offense to just 13 points in the first half. Unfortunately for the Cats, the Ducks found their groove.

The Bad:

Oregon exploded in the second half to score 36 points en route to a 49-0 rout of Arizona.

QB Matt Scott had three interceptions, despite throwing for 210 yards. The Wildcats also were 0-for-6 in the red zone and couldn’t cash in when it counted.

Arizona did have opportunities in the first half, but failed to capitalized on them due to committing their own miscues.

Noted:

The Ducks defense held the Cats to 141 yards of total offense in the game’s first 30 minutes.

Coming Up Next:

The Wildcats will host Oregon State next Saturday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m.
