Arizona WR Nate Phillips named a Freshman All-American

Arizona freshman Nate Phillips started 10 games for the Wildcats in 2013, catching 51 passes for 696 yards and seven touchdowns.

Monday, he was named to the Football Writers’ Association of America Freshman All-America Team.

Phillips led the Wildcats, who went 8-5, in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.

The wideout may have saved his best for last, catching nine passes for 193 yards in the team’s AdvoCare V100 Bowl win over Boston College.
