Scooby Wright III doesn’t like talking about himself.

“I can’t do anything but help my teammates. That’s how I’ll answer my question for you,” said the Arizona Wildcats’ unanimous first-team All-American linebacker when asked during Monday’s Fiesta Bowl press conference what he thinks about the attention he’s received.

“I still have that edge. Nothing has changed. I couldn’t have done anything I’ve done this season without my teammates. That comes down to playing solid team defense.”

Wright, who leads the FBS in tackles for a loss (27) and is tied for the national lead in forced fumbles (six), is perhaps the biggest reason No. 10 Arizona earned its most prominent bowl berth in over 20 years. He’ll be called upon to slow the potent offense of the No. 20 Boise State Broncos in the VIZIO Fiesta Bowl on New Year’s Eve at Glendale’s University of Phoenix Stadium.
