Arizona’s Solomon Hill named Pac-12 player of the week

The Arizona Wildcats entered the season hoping for immediate
contributions from a heralded freshman class, but at the
same time expecting key veterans to step up.
One such player is junior Solomon Hill, whose strong play
led to him being named the Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Player of
the Week for the week of Nov. 28-Dec. 4.
The Wildcats won both of their games during that span,
defeating New Mexico State 83-76 and Northern Arizona 53-39.
Hill averaged 13.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5 assists and one
steal in the two contests.
In eight games this season Hill leads the 6-2 Wildcats with
12.4 points per game, while contributing 7.8 rebounds and
3.1 assists.
Hill is the 81st Arizona player to win the award, and he
beat out ASU’s Keala King, Oregon State’s Ahmad Starks,
Stanford’s Anthony Brown and Washington State’s Charlie
Enquist, who were also nominated.
