STORRS, Conn. (AP) — Moriah Jefferson scored 15 points and added seven assists and six rebounds and No. 2 UConn beat USF 92-50 on Sunday to claim sole possession of first place in the American Athletic Conference.
Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis led UConn (16-1, 6-0) with 18 points. Breanna Stewart had 17 points and 10 rebounds and Morgan Tuck added 15 points.
Courtney Williams had 23 points for USF (14-4, 5-1), which came into the game on an eight-game winning streak and tied with the Huskies atop the conference standings.
But the Bulls could not stay with the defending national champions.
UConn led by 18 points and halftime and used a 17-0 run in the second half to put the game away. The Huskies held USF without a point for 8
