Nike reveals Kyler Murray exclusive DT Max 96 cleat

Kyler Murray has filled out the full Cardinal look by pairing Arizona’s red jerseys with yellow cleats in the past.
But Nike is setting him up to make a bigger fashion statement.
Not only were the black-and-yellow cleats Nike released Friday exclusively for Murray, they are also a one-of-one repurposed casual shoe.

It’s a cleat on the bottom, but on top is the look of the Nike Air DT Max ’96, a signature shoe of former NFL star cornerback Deion Sanders.
Sanders, a two-sport pro athlete, wore the shoes on the football field as well as on the baseball diamond.
But to the public they were a trainer shoe, Sanders’ third signature edition, which was originally released in 1996 as the Nike Air DT Max. It was re-released as a retro shoe starting in 2008, according to Sole Collector.
Now, it’s back to a cleat, something Nike has done by turning its Nike Air Jordan 1 classic casual shoes into a frequently worn NFL cleat.
It’s a nice nod for Murray to get an exclusive from Nike.
He has been intentional and inventive in his fashion choices during games.
As a rookie, he started warming up in tinted helmet visors before switching to the allowed clear visors for game action. Murray still wears the tinted visors in practice.
He jumped on a trend of wearing silhouetted pads as a salute to one of his heroes, Bruce Lee.
Murray has put his passions to use for good in the My Cause, My Cleats games, once shining light on veterans via a Call of Duty endowment with cleats that also honored his veteran grandfather and his Korean heritage, as detailed by ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss.
