This is a generic bibliography because there’s no way I can track where I get these from. Some are from the TV broadcasts of the games, some are from reading through the game notes prepared by the teams, some are from my own notes I keep during the games, some are from reading through generic stat pages and pulling out what I find interesting, and some are from ESPN Stats & Info.
1) Cleveland has one rushing TD and it took five weeks to get it.
2) Week 1 is the only game Matt Schaub did not throw an interception returned for a TD…first QB to throw a pick-six in four straight games.
3) The Carolina game was the first in Arizona Cardinals history where the defense had three interceptions and seven sacks.
4) Whenever Dez Bryant catches two or more TD passes, the Cowboys are 1-7.
5) The Browns haven’t been 3-2 in 12 years.
6) Ravens when Rice gets 25 touches: 23-3. Ravens when Rice gets fewer than 25 touches: 30-24.
7) Jimmy Graham and Tony Gonzalez are the only TEs to earn 100 yards receiving in four straight games but, after Sunday, Graham is the only one to have two separate streaks.
8) Of the 47 Super Bowl Champions, only two allowed 48+ points during the regular season.
9) Andrew Luck is the first and only QB taken number one overall to go 15-6 in his first 21 games.
10) The 49ers called a running play on a season-high 67.3% of the time against Houston.
11) Of Andrew Luck’s 15 wins, nine have been fourth quarter comebacks, most in history in a quarterback’s first 21 games.
12) Only five games in NFL history have ever finished 22-6. Cards scored the six in a 1933 loss to the Bears and 22 on Sunday.
13) Only the Jags are worse in the red zone than the New England Patriots (went from 70% to 33%).
14) Dave Zastudil has placed at least two punts inside 20 in 10 straight games.
15) Cam Newton faces a blitz on a league high 44 percent of all dropbacks, but the Cardinals brought five on 60 percent of Newton’s dropbacks.
16) The time three receivers had 120+ yards apiece before Dallas on Sunday was an Oilers/Titans game.
17) Peyton Manning completed 78.6% of his 42 attempts for 414 yards and 4 TDs, yet none of those numbers are even a season high.
18) Before the Chargers game, Oakland had gone two years without a TD in the opening 3 minutes of each game.
19) Oakland led 17-0 at one point, their largest home lead since 2002.
20) LSU has had at least 500 yards of offense in every game this year.
21) For the first time in his career, Matt Ryan has lost two straight at home.
22) Five teams (including the Cardinals) have fewer 3rd down conversions than Peyton Manning has TD passes.
