Mercury’s Kia Nurse hits buzzer-beater to defeat Chicago on road

The Phoenix Mercury drilled their second game winning shot of the season on Tuesday night as they defeated the Chicago Sky 84-83.
Mercury guard Kia Nurse called game on the final possession of Tuesday’s contest as she hit a buzzer beating three-pointer to close on the game.

Nurse ended the game with 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and added three assists for Phoenix.

“Brezzy Brianna Turner told me to shoot it, I never make the half-court shot, thank God this one went in,” Nurse said.
Phoenix guard Skylar Diggins-Smith dropped 24 points and dished out five assists in the victory as the Mercury collected their fourth win of the season.
As a team, the Mercury out rebounded Chicago 35-28.
Phoenix shot 40% from deep against Chicago as they went 8-20 from three.
The Mercury will look to defeat the Sky once again on Thursday night, tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
