The Arizona Cardinals have two of the top 20 players in the NFL, at least according to the league’s players.

Monday night, it was revealed that David Johnson (12) and Patrick Peterson (19) were part of the NFL Network’s Top 100 players list, with the pair joining Larry Fitzgerald (45) and Chandler Jones (85) as Cardinals who made the cut.

Calais Campbell, who was with the Cardinals last season but signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, was 83rd.

It is the sixth time Peterson has been honored by his peers, and his current ranking comes after he intercepted three passes while tallying six passes defensed in 2016.

A six-time Pro Bowler, Peterson is widely regarded as one of the premier cornerbacks in the NFL and was the highest ranked cornerback in this year’s list. No doubt he is likely to land somewhere on the NFL Network’s list every season for the foreseeable future.

The same can likely be said for Johnson, who is ranked in the top 100 for the first time in his career.

That Johnson is here is not really much of a surprise. In 2016, the second-year pro set an NFL record in recording 100 yards from scrimmage in his first 15 games, and likely would have reached a full 16 had he not suffered an injury in the season finale.

In all, he amassed 1,239 rushing yards and 879 receiving yards along with 20 total touchdowns. He led the league in yards from scrimmage and touchdowns, and heads into 2017 as the centerpiece of the Cardinals’ offense.
