The Suns “are believed to have balked” at a trade offer from the Los Angeles Clippers that would have sent center DeAndre Jordan to Phoenix for Tyson Chandler and the No. 4 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, reports ESPN’s Chris Haynes.

Los Angeles is currently gauging the trade market for the big man who made his first All-Star game in 2017 and has a First Team All-NBA and two Third Team All-NBA selections under his belt.

Jordan is set to be paid $22.6 million this coming season and has a player option the following year that would net him $24.1 million.

While Chandler, 34, is six years older and under contract for the next two years for nearly half the price as Jordan, the Suns have little reason to add a player like Jordan at the cost of a young player that would better fit the young core led by Devin Booker.

Jordan averaged 12.7 points, 13.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game last season.

Chandler averaged 8.4 points, 11.5 boards and 0.5 blocks in 2016-17.
