The Diamondbacks, Suns and Coyotes achieved a feat on Tuesday for the first time in five seasons.

April 10, 2013 — the five-year anniversary will be next week — was the last time all three Arizona teams won on the same night.

On Tuesday, the D-backs beat the Dodgers 6-1. The Suns broke their 15-game losing streak by defeating the Kings 97-94 and in Calgary, the Coyotes skated to a 4-1 win over the Flames.

Five years ago, the Diamondbacks beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 10-2 behind Wade Miley’s strong pitching performance and A.J. Pollock’s two home runs. The Suns recorded one of their 25 wins by defeating the Dallas Mavericks 102-91, when Luis Scola pulled down 15 rebounds.

And the Coyotes? Well, they were still known as the Phoenix Coyotes when they beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-1.

The teams had a little fun with this after the game.

Take the five years with a grain of salt – April is the only full month all three teams play. The Suns and Coyotes don’t have a full summer with the D-backs, and spring training in March doesn’t count – though all three teams have won on the same night multiple times during the respective preseasons.

A lot has changed in the world since then. Twitter has taken over as the voice for millions. A different president sits in the Oval Office. Star Wars has expanded its movie empire three times.

At the same time, not much has changed for these three teams. Paul Goldschmidt has manned first base for the D-backs since 2013. The Suns were trying to get over Steve Nash’s recent departure. And though the Coyotes changed their city name, they haven’t changed their arena’s city.

As for the other professional Arizona sports, Carson Palmer had been a Cardinal for eight days and Brittney Griner was five days away from being a member of the Mercury.

The Rattlers were a month away from winning their fourth Arena Bowl Championship, while Phoenix Rising FC wouldn’t be founded for another year as Arizona United SC.

Tuesday was a good night for all three teams to win — this was the final time the Suns, Coyotes and D-backs will play on the same night this season.

The next opportunity will roll around in October.
