Two-year starter and senior team captain for the Arizona Wildcats, Dane Cruikshank was selected with the 152nd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans.

Cruikshank’s career at Arizona was highlighted by five career interceptions, 17 pass breakups and 135 total tackles. In 2017, Cruikshank picked off one pass each from quarterbacks Sam Darnold of USC and Josh Rosen of UCLA, both top-10 draft picks in 2018.

After two season at Citrus College, Cruikshank was rated a top 100 junior college prospect in 2015. Cruikshank redshirted his first season in Tucson, but went on to start all 25 games of his career, including 12 at cornerback and 13 at safety.

With the Titans, Cruikshank joins a defensive backfield that includes Johnathan Cyprien, Kevin Byard and Adoree Jackson.

The Titans earned a playoff spot as a wild card team last season defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on the road before falling to the New England Patriots in the divisional round.

Cruikshank was the third defensive player selected by the Titans in the 2018 NFL Draft. The other two were Alabama linebacker Rashaan Evans and Boston College linebacker Harold Landry.

Cruikshank was the 180th player selected in the history of the Arizona football program dating back to 1939.
