There isn’t another quarterback controversy brewing in Arizona.

Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks said Sunday Josh Rosen would start the team’s Week 16 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Rosen was pulled in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons with the Cardinals trailing, 40-7.

The rookie finished 13-of-22 for 132 yards, turned the ball over three times and was sacked seven times.

Backup Mike Glennon replaced Rosen and threw a touchdown pass to rookie receiver Trent Sherfield late in the game.

“(Josh) will definitely start next week,” Wilks said. “Just based off where we were in the game, I just wanted to get him out.”

It’s been a rough go recently for the Cardinals’ 2018 first-round pick.

Rosen threw a pick-six for the second time in as many games, bringing his total for the season to four.

He hasn’t thrown a touchdown in each of his past three games and has just one 200-plus yard passing performance in his past five games.

“I’m not going to put it all on Josh,” Wilks said. “We have got to do a better job up front allowing him to be able to feel comfortable in the pocket.

“He has to do a better job of going through his progression and really just checking the ball down at times.”
