Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker was notably absent in the final six minutes of the Suns loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday night.

The reasoning was tightness in his right hamstring that Suns head coach Igor Kokoskov referred to as Booker “cramping up.”

Booker exited the game after playing 33 minutes with 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists. He was seen on the bench with a wrap and ice around his right thigh.

The injury appeared to occur on a fastbreak, which resulted in an assist to Josh Jackson with 7:47 left in the fourth quarter. Booker wasn’t pulled from the game until he was subbed for by Kelly Oubre with 6:27 left.

“Just a little tightness. Just caught it before anything gets further than it was, but it will be fine,” Booker said to reporters after the game.

Booker’s next chance to play is against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.

The Suns were trailing 104-88 at the time he left the game.

Without Booker in the closing minutes, Phoenix cut the lead to a 118-110 final score, extending the team’s losing streak to 11 games.
