Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker will play Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans, Suns coach Igor Kokoskov announced.

Booker was originally listed as questionable because of a left big toe sprain.

The guard left Thursday’s practice early to receive treatment. It is the same toe that forced Booker to miss a game earlier this season after he stubbed it opening a door.

Booker’s presence will be a boost for a Suns team looking to win its second game in a row.

It’s also good news for Booker, who has been injury prone the past couple of seasons.

Booker has only been able to play in 15 straight games twice since the start of the 2017 season and his longest games played streak this season is 14 games.

The 22-year-old has missed 15 games this season because of injury.

The guard is averaging 24.6 points per game on 45.7 percent shooting in 47 games this season.

Friday’s 7 p.m. game against the Pelicans can be heard live on 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station.
