Jared Dudley’s request for a Lakers jersey edit goes very wrong

Jared Dudley, new Los Angeles Lakers basketball man, wanted to wear the No. 6 jersey.
On Friday, he asked his Twitter followers to create a profile picture for him in a fresh Los Angeles jersey. But for reasons related to the fallout of Lakers star LeBron James’ expected switch from No. 23 to No. 6 that isn’t going to happen, No. 6 is also out of the equation for Dudley.
So No. 2 it is. Or so he thought.
At first, only some mild criticism came from former Phoenix Suns teammate Devin Booker.

But then Dudley put an offer on the table: Fans who produced the best PhotoShop edits of Dudley in a Lakers No. 2 jersey would win tickets to a preseason game. So Twitter users put together their best (worst) efforts to provide Dudley with just that.
There were plenty of images work with: Lonzo Ball and Derek Fisher were well-known basketball players who wore No. 2. Few of the submissions to Dudley, however, were actually effort-filled displays of digital manipulation skills.

And after all that, Dudley decided against wearing No. 2 after all.
New teammate Quinn Cook wanted that jersey number, and the veteran obliged. Someone please pick a number for Jared.
