All-Star pitcher Zack Greinke’s run with the Arizona Diamondbacks is over after the team agreed to trade him to the Houston Astros on Wednesday in exchange for four prospects.

The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal broke the news of Greinke being dealt to Houston, while ESPN’s Jeff Passan added that the 35-year-old will be had at the price of four prospects. 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station’s John Gambadoro reported Arizona acquired first baseman/outfielder Seth Beer, right-handed pitcher J.B. Bukauskas, right-handed pitcher Corbin Martin and infielder/outfielder Joshua Rojas.

They are all top-20 prospects in the Astros’ system, according to Baseball America.

The D-backs will pay $24 million of the remaining $77 million owed to Greinke, Gambadoro reports.

According to Gambadoro, the D-backs saw Martin as the top player they wanted in the trade. He had Tommy John recently and will be out through the end of next year, but he’s nonetheless a highly-coveted player who the D-backs tried to acquire six months ago.

Greinke signed a six-year, $206.5 million contract before the 2016 season, taking his current deal through 2021.

He has remained relatively healthy during his three-plus years as a D-back, playing in 113 games and going 55-29 with a 3.40 ERA and 1.093 WHIP with Arizona before his last start against the Yankees on Wednesday. Greinke threw 82 pitches over 5.0 innings before being pulled coming out of a rain delay.

Greinke went 10-4 this season with a 2.87 ERA and 0.94 WHIP, the latter of which would be the second-best in his career for a single season.

Arizona acquired two starting pitchers as they sent Greinke off the team.

After first acquiring pitching prospect Zac Gallen from the Marlins, the D-backs also acquired Mike Leake from the Seattle Mariners, as first reported by Jon Heyman after the clock struck 1 p.m. According to AZCentral’s Nick Piecoro, Single-A infielder Jose Caballero will go to Seattle in the deal.
