Former Arizona Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke made his Houston Astros debut on Tuesday night.

It was a less than stellar first outing for Greinke since being traded at the deadline, as the right-hander allowed five earned runs on seven hits to go along with a pair of walks and punchouts over six innings of work against the Colorado Rockies.

But Houston’s offense was able to provide enough run support for its newly acquired starter to get him his first win in an Astros uniform.

Greinke was actually dealing to start the game, facing only 10 batters in his first three innings of work, including a three-pitch strikeout out of Charlie Blackmon to start the game.

But the fourth inning is when things began to unravel, as a leadoff single followed by a walk and wild pitch eventually led to two runs crossing the plate.

The Astros offense was able to give Greinke a three-run cushion going into the sixth, but the former D-back allowed a three-run home run to Raimel Tapia to tie the game.

Greinke would finish the inning, but it would be the end of his night.
