The Phoenix Suns G League affiliate, the Northern Arizona Suns, added to their lineup on Saturday.

With the first overall pick in the 2019 NBA G League Draft, the NAZ Suns selected forward Anthony Lawrence II, 23, out of the University of Miami.

The forward spent four seasons at Miami, averaging 8.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, two assists and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 45.6% from the field in 130 games played (81 starts).

During his senior year, Lawrence started all 32 games, recording 12.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists.

Lawrence has seen some action at the NBA level as well, playing on the Clevelnad Cavaliers’ 2019 Summer League team. In eight games, he averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds.

Also joining the team were guards Keljin Blevins (15th overall) and Jahmal McMurray (21st overall).

Blevins played his final two college season at Montana State, averaging 11.8 points and 5.9 rebounds in 31 starts after spending his first two years with Southern Mississippi.

Undrafted in 2019, Blevins joined the Portland Trail Blazers’ Summer League team, playing in three games.

McMurray, 22, was the final pick used by the NAZ Suns on Saturday, with the team deciding to pass on their four remaining draft selections (Nos. 29, 33, 57, 85).

The guard wouldn’t remain an NAZ Sun for long, however, as the team dealt McMurray to Long Island Nets in exchange for the returning player rights to guard Jeremy Senglin and the draft rights to guard Miles Reynolds.

Senglin, 24, last played with Nets’ G League affiliate in 2017-18, averaging 14.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 48 games (seven starts).

Reynolds, 24, was taken 27th overall by the Nets in this year’s G League draft. As a member of the Oklahoma Sooners, the guard averaged 6.7 points and 2.4 rebounds in 34 games (eight starts). Reynolds also spent time with Pacific University and Saint Louis University during his collegiate career.
