The NFL Player’s Association Medical Director is warning players to avoid practicing in groups amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Dr. Thom Mayer issued a statement Saturday advising players to not engage in practicing together in private workouts.

“Our goal is to have all players and your families as healthy as possible in the coming months,” Mayer said in the statement.

The statement could affect Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray’s Dallas workout plans.

Murray invited offensive skill players to Dallas this Sunday through Wednesday for a group workout. He invited 20 players, including the other three quarterbacks, four running backs, nine receivers and four tight ends.

Murray is paying for the entire event, including travel, lodging and food, and will cost him more than $40,000.

Around the NFL, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had at least two players test positive for coronavirus as of Saturday. Earlier in the week, the team had an assistant coach test positive while two others were in quarantine.
