Kyler Murray’s career day against the New York Jets earned the Arizona Cardinals quarterback Week 5 NFC Offensive Player of the Week accolades.

Murray threw for a career-high 380 yards on 27-of-37 passing at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. He tossed one touchdown and had an interception on a pass deflected at the line.

Arizona’s second-year quarterback also rushed for a touchdown and gained 31 yards on the ground in nine attempts.

The 380 passing yards was a high in the NFL for the week and the most in an Arizona win since Carson Palmer threw for 419 yards in 2013 against Jacksonville.

It’s Murray’s second NFC Offensive Player of the Week honor. He won the award in Week 6 of his rookie year for a similar 27-of-37 performance that went for 340 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions against the Atlanta Falcons. Murray joins Kurt Warner, Boomer Esiason and Neil Lomax as Cardinals quarterbacks who have won multiple NFL player of the week awards.

The NFL announced Murray’s award and the AFC Offensive Player of the Week to Pittsburgh rookie receiver Chase Claypool on Wednesday.

Claypool, the Steelers’ 2020 second-round pick out of Notre Dame, scored four touchdowns (one rushing, three receiving) in a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He finished with seven catches for 110 yards.

Baltimore Ravens linebacker and fellow rookie Patrick Queen’s nine tackles and fumble recovery touchdown earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Week honors, while the Los Angeles Rams’ Aaron Donald closed a win over Washington with four sacks, three quarterback hits and a forced fumble to earn him the NFC nod.

Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders (5-of-5 on field goals) and New Orleans’ Wil Lutz (game-winning field goal in overtime on Monday Night Football) garnered the duo NFL special teams accolades for Week 5.
