The Pac-12 Conference announced on Friday that Arizona State Sun Devils head coach Bobby Hurley has been reprimanded for his public comments about officiating.

Hurley was extremely critical of a no-call on ASU’s Remy Martin at the end of Thursday night’s 84-82 loss to the Arizona Wildcats at the buzzer.

The senior point guard drove right into Arizona big man Azuolas Tubelis, who initially put his arms straight up to contest the shot, but then brought down his left arm to try to make a play on the ball.

No foul was called and the Wildcats went down the court, where Tubelis’ putback score won the game for Arizona.

In addition to the rant at the postgame press conference, the ASU head coach also posted a picture of the play, which was Hurley’s first tweet since Dec. 12

“The Pac-12 membership has established standards of conduct, one of which prohibits coaches from making public derogatory comments regarding officiating,” commissioner Larry Scott said in a press release.

“It is the conference’s responsibility to ensure compliance of these standards on behalf of its members, and there is a protocol which allows for coaches to provide feedback directly to the coordinator of officiating.”
