Phoenix Suns forward Cam Johnson made his presence felt in the paint during the team’s overtime victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 6-foot-8 Johnson normally makes the highlight reel with shots from beyond the arc, however, Johnson decided to show off his athletic ability for all to see at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Tuesday.

With close to a minute left in overtime, Suns center Deandre Ayton was looking to find the open man when Johnson cut to the basket and took flight against Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen.

Johnson threw down a reverse two-handed dunk and posterized Allen. Ayton and the rest of the Suns bench couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed.

“That was crazy, I was hyped,” Suns forward Mikal Bridges said postgame. “My boy Cam got bounce, man. I didn’t think he was about to dunk it. So it got everybody out of shock, out of surprise. But that’s definitely I think one of the best plays.”

Suns point guard Chris Paul pointed out after the game how he loved the energy he saw from Johnson and the rest of the Suns players on the play.

“Our team is just so connected like that,” Paul said via Zoom. “To see the bench and how everybody reacted because like I said, we got guys who play the right way. Everything they do come from a good place and when you see [Johnson] making exciting plays you just genuinely happy for [Johnson].”

People around the basketball world were also in awe of Johnson’s two-handed reverse dunk as they took to social media.

Johnson ended the night with seven points and five rebounds for Phoenix in 30 minutes of work as the Suns defeated the Cavaliers by a score of 134-118.
