Super Bowl LVII date for 2023 set for State Farm Stadium in Arizona

The current home of the Cardinals, State Farm Stadium, was already scheduled to host its third Super Bowl. Now it can be marked on the 2023 calendar.
Super Bowl LVII will take place at the Glendale, Arizona, stadium on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, the NFL announced on Wednesday.
The league had announced in 2018 that Arizona would host the Super Bowl in 2023.
“The selection of the date for Super Bowl LVII means we are getting closer to the event all of Arizona is anticipating,” said David Rousseau, chairman of the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee. “The exposure and economic impact it brings to our region is unmatched and so is the level of community support required to execute such a massive undertaking.”

Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business estimated that Super Bowl XLIX in 2015 produced an economic impact of $719.4 million in the greater Phoenix area.
Before landing in Arizona, the Super Bowl will take place in Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium to determine the champion for this coming NFL season.
State Farm Stadium has previously hosted Super Bowl XLII in 2008 and Super Bowl XLIX in 2015. It also hosted the Pro Bowl in 2015.
The stadium is the regular home of the Fiesta Bowl and has also hosted two BCS National Championships (2007, 2011), plus a College Football Playoff title game (2016).
It has served as the venue for the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four (2017) as well as a handful of professional soccer events.
It will be the fourth Super Bowl in the state of Arizona. In 1996, Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe hosted Super Bowl XXX.
