He surprised youths from local non-profit organization Lights Camera Discover with a “Christmas present:” New cameras and laptops along with a $100,000 grant.

The group teaches young people in underserved communities valuable lesson through workshops on arts like filmmaking, photography, acting, screenwriting, website design and more.

Five youths from LCD were in Footprint Center meeting creatives from the Suns’ social and digital media teams. Their last stop was a meet-and-greet with a player to see what media availability is like.

Booker took questions before revealing his gifts.

The group of five, Booker and LCD founder Kema Charles took a photo with the check after Booker encouraged them to come up and hold it.

Booker pledged to give $2.5 million to Suns Charities over the ensuing five years back in 2019 as his Starting 5 initiative.
