The Phoenix Suns have added Stockton Kings forward Emanuel Terry as a 10-day hardship signing, the team announced Monday before a game at home against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound forward played two games with the Suns in 2019 and fills in after Phoenix placed starting forward Jae Crowder and backup point guard Elfrid Payton in COVID-19 protocols Sunday.

Teams must add a player via hardship signing if two players go on COVID-19 reserve.

Additionally, the Suns have put head coach Monty Williams in health and safety protocols, reported ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Williams will miss the Suns’ hosting of the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night.

Terry has played in three NBA games, two with the Suns.

He has career highs of five points, three rebounds, an assist and two steals, all of which he recorded in nine minutes of play for Phoenix in a Jan. 27, 2019, game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

With the Stockton Kings of the G League this season, Terry is averaging 10.8 points and 10.4 rebounds on 64% shooting from the field.

The 25-year-old out of Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee has played for the Miami Heat, four G League teams, plus clubs in Serbia, Turkey and Israel since going undrafted in 2018.

Terry will wear No. 26 and will be available to play Monday night vs. the Grizzlies, the Suns announced.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tune to 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station to catch all the action.
