Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has said he watched Green Bay Packers Aaron Rodgers while growing up.

It seems he didn’t forget about the signal caller’s classic 2014 “R-E-L-A-X” quote when everyone around Rodgers and the Packers organization was frantic over their slow start to the season.

He may not have spelled it out quite like Rodgers, but Murray gave off similar vibes on Wednesday amid a three-game losing streak.

“You go watch the film, it’s not far off,” Murray said. “People are making dramatic statements and all that stuff about the team. There’s nothing crazy that needs to be done.

“It’s just everybody has got to do their job. Everybody has got to be a little bit better. Stop turning the ball over, stop making mistakes, penalties, and stuff like that and we’ll be fine.”

With the Cardinals just two games away from the playoffs and a matchup against a playoff contender in the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Murray and Co. will need to remedy their mistakes in a hurry if they want to enter the postseason with some semblance of confidence.

Murray on Hudson: ‘I know he’s ready to go’

Of the multiple reinforcements the Cardinals are getting back this week from the injured reserve and COVID-19 list, none are as important to Murray and the offense’s success than starting center Rodney Hudson.

After missing the last two weeks due to COVID-19, Hudson is back among his teammates with the target of getting back into game shape for Sunday.

“I hope that he will be able to go,” Kingsbury said Wednesday. “I think if all goes well, there’s a good chance, but we’ll see how the week goes with his conditioning and how he feels.”

Hudson’s presence in the trenches can’t be understated, whether it’s getting in the right protections or just his physical attributes.

“I’m excited to have Rod back,” Murray said. “Obviously, I’m confident in any of those guys that play out there, but to have Rod back — a leader of the team, his veteran savviness, everything he knows about the game — he brings that deal we’ve been missing back. Excited to have him back, and I know he’s ready to go.”
