With the 2021 NFL regular season set to conclude on Sunday, the playoff picture continues to take shape.

After a special NFL doubleheader on Saturday, the NFC playoff seeding continues to shift as the league enters the final day of play.

Currently for the Arizona Cardinals, their matchup for Wild Card Weekend is still in the air. However, following the Dallas Cowboys’ 51-26 win over the Philadelphia Eagles, a Week 17 rematch could be in store.

With the Cowboys’ win over the Eagles, the Cardinals could theoretically jump to the No. 2 seed with a bit of help.

The Cardinals could jump Dallas in seeding if they beat the Seattle Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers defeat the Los Angeles Rams. That would crown Arizona champions of the NFC West and send LA to the No. 5 seed.

That’s not all the Cardinals will need to swing them to the No. 2 seed, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will also need to lose at home to the Carolina Panthers.

If the Cardinals take care of the Seahawks and get some help from the Niners and Panthers, the two-seed would be Arizona’s as they would host the Eagles.

The No. 3 seed is also a possible destination for the Cardinals.

Should the Bucs beat the Panthers, it would take Niners and Cardinals wins for Arizona to take the third spot.

As the No. 3 seed, the Cardinals would host division foe San Francisco.

Currently the No. 5 seed, it’s possible the Cardinals could remain with that seeding.

If the Cardinals were to lose to the Seahawks and the Bucs and Niners win, Arizona would travel to LA to face the Rams.

Should the Cardinals, Bucs and Rams all win in Week 18, it will be a Week 17 rematch between the Cardinals and Cowboys during Wild Card Weekend.
