The 2022 NBA All-Star teams were officially set on Thursday night.

The starters and reserves from both conferences had already been selected, but which teams they would represent had yet to be decided.

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant were captains of their teams, with Miami Heat’s Erik Spoelstra and Phoenix Suns’ Monty Williams serving as head their head coaches, respectively.

After the two captains drafted their starting teammates, Durant used the first reserve pick to take Suns guard Devin Booker, who the Lakers forward has publicly said is the most disrespected player in the league.

James seemed to be a little upset on the TNT broadcast that he wasn’t able to get his guy in the All-Star draft.

A few picks later, James took Paul, who share a long history and friendship together going all the way back to when they won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

The Suns starting backcourt duo getting split up also means that Booker will be going against his teammate and head coach in Feb. 20’s All-Star Game.

The final two selections of the draft were also quite eventful, as Durant was on the clock with only Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and James Harden, who was reportedly traded to the Philadelphia 76ers earlier on trade deadline Thursday.

James couldn’t hold back his reaction to Durant’s conundrum and covered his face with his clipboard.

Durant held himself together with his typical straight face and selected Gobert, leaving the former Arizona State Sun Devil to join Booker on Team James.
