Phoenix Suns point guard Chris Paul was ejected from Wednesday night’s 124-121 win over the Houston Rockets at Footprint Center.

The point guard will also undergo an MRI on Thursday morning on his right hand that he injured on the play that resulted in his first of two technical fouls, according to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes.

Arizona Sports‘ Kellan Olson conducted the pool report interview with referee crew chief Mark Lindsay, asking why Paul was assessed his first and second technicals.

“The first technical foul was assessed for use of profanity directed at an official,” Lindsay said. “The second technical foul was assessed for making contact with a game official.”

Three minutes into the third quarter, Paul was given back-to-back technicals for arguing a no-call when getting hit in the hand on a pass and then “bumping” into an official.

You can be the judge if this warranted Paul being tossed.

Here’s another angle in slow motion.

It was another typical night from the All-Star, who left the game with 11 points on 3 of 5 shooting and a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line.

Paul also had six assists and two steals in his final game before the NBA’s All-Star break this weekend in Cleveland.
