The Arizona Coyotes signed center Travis Boyd to a two-year contract extension, general manager Bill Armstrong announced on Saturday.

Boyd has notched 10 goals and 14 assists in 46 games with the Coyotes this season.

He also ranks fourth in goals and tied for fifth in points for Arizona.

“We are very pleased to sign Travis to a two-year contract extension,” Armstrong said. “He is a versatile, skilled center who has been a great addition to our forward group and we look forward to having him on our roster next season.”

The 28-year-old has set new career highs in goals, points, power-play points (3) and shots (56) this season.

He has played in 170 NHL games over five seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and now Coyotes.

Boyd signed a one-year contract with Arizona in August before the extension.

He was drafted in the sixth round (177th overall) by the Capitals in the 2011 NHL Draft.
