The Arizona Diamondbacks announced two roster moves ahead of their game Saturday against the Colorado Rockies.

Pitcher J.B. Wendelken was reinstated from the injured list and Luis Frias was optioned to Triple-A Reno.

Wendelken returns to the team after heading to the injured list for unspecified reasons.

The announcement came at a time when several players and staff were awaiting COVID-19 test results.

A member of the club’s training staff was believed to have tested positive at the time and number of players who qualified as close contacts were put into COVID protocols.

In his second season with the D-backs, he has posted a 4.32 ERA over seven appearances out of the bullpen.

Frias made two appearances since his call up when Wendelken went down with the injury.

He allowed four earned runs in a two-out appearance Tuesday as the D-backs took down the Miami Marlins, 5-4.

His first appearance came in an April 29 win over the St. Louis Cardinals where he gave up one earned run in 1.2 innings.

The D-backs look to stay hot as winners of eight of their last 10 games coming into Saturday.
