The Arizona Wildcats women’s basketball team picked up a big transfer on Tuesday in Arizona State’s leading scorer Jade Loville.

The guard averaged 16.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game on 41.7% shooting in 2021-22 for the Sun Devils.

In a home game against the Wildcats last season, Loville scored 27 points and eight rebounds in an 81-77 win.

Loville set the school’s single-game scoring record with 40 points against UNLV in February 2021.

She originally started her career with Boise State before finding her way to the Sun Devils in 2021. She scored 10 or more points 19 times this last season.

During the offseason, ASU lost long-time head coach Charli Turner Thorne when she retired after 25 seasons in Tempe. Loville was the third transfer of the offseason.

Loville was named to the All-USA Today Washington girls team in high school in 2017-18 after scoring 37.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.

She was also named preseason Mountain West Freshman of the Year while at Boise State.

After a season-ending defeat in the Round of 32 in the 2022 NCAA tournament, head coach Adia Barnes and the new-look Wildcats will look to add to last season’s 67.2 points per game.
