The Arizona Coyotes and restricted free agent forward Christian Fischer on Monday agreed on a one-year deal, the team announced.

Additionally, the Coyotes issued qualifying offers to forwards Lawson Crouse and Barrett Hayton and goalie Josef Korenar.

Arizona also signed defenseman Cam Dineen to a one-year two-way contract.

The deadline for teams to issue qualifying offers to restricted free agents was set for 2 p.m. on Monday. Restricted free agents can begin being contacted for offer sheets starting Tuesday. NHL free agency officially begins Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Fischer is entering his seventh season with the Coyotes and originally joined the team as a second-round draft pick (32nd overall) in 2015.

“We are very pleased to sign Christian,” Coyotes GM Bill Armstrong said in a press release. “He is a hard-working forward and a great teammate who is well-respected in our dressing room. We look forward to having him back next season.”

Last season, Fischer registered 10 points (five goals, five assists) to go along with 14 penalty minutes in 53 games played. He also posted 91 hits, good enough for third among Arizona forwards.

Over his career with Arizona (318 games), Fischer has tallied 84 points (43 goals and 41 assists) with 77 penalty minutes.

Dineen recorded seven assists and four penalty minutes in 34 games last season. He joined Arizona as a third-round draft pick in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Crouse enters Year 7 after recording 34 points (20 goals and 14 assists) across 65 games last year. He has been a member of Arizona since 2015.

Hayton embarks on his fourth NHL season following a career-high 60 games and 24 points (10 goals and 14 assists) scored in 2021-22. The forward was the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Korenar heads into Year 3 after spending time with the Coyotes (2021-22) and San Jose Sharks (2020-21).
