The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a contract extension with offensive lineman D.J. Humphries through the 2025 season, the team announced Tuesday.

The three-year extension is worth a total of $66.8 million, with $34 million guaranteed and $21 million going into the tackle’s pocket in Year 1, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Humphries, 28, has spent the entirety of his NFL career with Arizona thus far. After being selected 24th overall in the 2015 NFL Draft out of Florida, Humphries is entering his eighth year in the Valley. He made his first Pro Bowl last season.

After the five years of his rookie contract expired, Humphries re-signed with the Cardinals in February of 2020 on a three-year extension worth $43.7 million before becoming an unrestricted free agent.

The left tackle has started every game he has played with the Cardinals but that took a year after Humphries was the only first-round pick in 2015 to be inactive for the entire season.

Humphries’ 75 starts have made him a rare mainstay on the Cardinals’ offensive line. He is only one of four offensive lineman since the year 2000 to reach 75 starts with Arizona, joining Leonard Davis, Levi Brown and Lyle Sendlein, per Football-Reference.

The return of Humphries brings more certainty to an offensive line group that entered training camp with Rodney Hudson and Josh Jones as the only players under contract beyond 2022. Justin Pugh, Will Hernandez, Justin Murray, Joshua Miles, Sean Harlow and Kelvin Beachum are all on expiring contracts.
