Kliff Kingsbury flaunts film remote skills for Cardinals’ ‘Hard Knocks’ preview

Aug 18, 2022, 1:16 PM

Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury has never been shy in front of a camera.

Remember that famous shot of his “draft house” during the 2020 NFL Draft?

The Cardinals are this year’s in-season team for the HBO series “Hard Knocks,” which the head coach gave a preview of with his mastery of a film remote.

“It looked like I was doing a lot, didn’t it?” Kingsbury said. “I said, ‘That’s it? That’s all they need?'”

The film director for the sneak preview was none other than senior vice president of media relations Mark Dalton, who had Kingsbury do the bit in an office at State Farm Stadium rather than the head coach’s office at the Tempe facility.

“He said it looked natural,” Kingsbury said of Dalton.

The room at State Farm Stadium looked a little bare and boring compared to the office space the head coach usually operates in, such as his own house from the aforementioned 2020 draft.

Kingsbury even joked with Dalton during the film session — pun intended — that they would need to brighten up the room a little bit.

“I told him we need some CGI (computer-generated imagery) going on,” he said. “Looked like I was in prison.”

The Cardinals will debut on “Hard Knocks In Season” on Nov. 9.
