TEMPE — The Arizona Cardinals’ 26-16 win over the Carolina Panthers had a little bit of everything.

There was yet another comeback on the Cardinals’ part, the defense played its best game of football and the offense put on a show in the fourth quarter.

And in the midst of all that, cameras also picked up a bit of a tense exchange between head coach Kliff Kingsbury and quarterback Kyler Murray.

Kingsbury, who joked about what was said between the two after the game Sunday, chalked it up Monday to the shared passion he and his quarterback have toward getting the offense where it should be at this point in their tenures.

“We both just want to get it right and that’s a good thing,” Kingsbury said Monday. “Two guys that know what we can be and we haven’t got there yet for whatever reason, but I like the way it’s heading and we’ll continue to push each other until we get there.”

Tied at 10-10 and down deep in Panthers territory, the Cardinals offense was looking to push the tempo and pick up their first lead in regulation.

And after two negative results, a personal foul and ejection of Cardinals right guard Will Hernandez followed by a sack, Murray was determined to get back to the line and get a snap off against a Panthers team that is known to struggle when the pace picks up.

But after failing to get in the call in time, Kingsbury and the Cardinals were forced to burn their second timeout of the half, leading to the exchange.

Eventually getting back to up-tempo, the Panthers had no answer for Murray in the final two quarters, who recorded three total touchdowns in the win.
