Mullett Arena, the home of the Arizona State hockey team and temporary base of the Arizona Coyotes, announced on Tuesday the complex’s food lineup when it opens for its first event Friday.

OVG Hospitality announced that local staples Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers and Venezia’s New York Style Pizzeria will be featured at the new multipurpose arena.

They will be joined by Shaq’s Big Chicken, a national chain founded by former NBA star Shaquille O’Neal. While the franchise announced it was planning multiple Arizona locations back in June, this is the first to open. The restaurant features a large fried chicken sandwich as well as a Nashville hot chicken sandwich.

Sparky’s Hot Spot, an ASU-branded arena food concept, will features a Sonoran chicken cheesesteak and steak supreme nachos.

Mullett Marketplace, a grab-and-go fresh food option, will carry an orange chicken dish, chicken fajita wraps and cobb salads.

“We are creating the ultimate fan experience for ASU and their guests,” Mullett Arena’s OVG Hospitality general manager Robert Brackett said. “Food is an integral part of that experience. With our high-level of customer service and our high-quality in-arena food and beverage offerings, we have crafted a menu that will satisfy all hunger and thirst when guests visit Mullett Arena for hockey, concerts, or other types of live events.”

Mullett Arena, which will debut as ASU hosts Colgate on Friday, also features a 942-seat student section, 20 luxury suites, a club lounge and event-level premium club seats.

A Coors Light Club Chill lounge on the main concourse can hold up to 500 fans, while a Dos Equis Devil Deck running the east side of the arena will give fans an open-air aerial view of the action.
